The Association Of Interiors Specialists have an article of our addition to the Invicta "Ultima Window Defence" system "No Bar" in this months Interiors Insight also available online at www.ais-interiors.org.uk
An extract of the article follows: -
"Recent unrest,rioting and looting has highlighted the need to protect windows, often the most vunerable part of a building. Invicta's new system combines window film with an anchorage and containment system which in the event of an explosion or break-in disperses the energy and creates a durable elastic surface. This helps protect from blasts, slows down intruders and reduces the risk from smash and grab.
The window pane is coated with Hanita Security Grade window film, and then the "No Bar" mechanical anchoring systems attaches the film covered glass onto the window frame, preventing it from coming our of the frame. A decorative, colour coded cap is ten applied to match the existing window frame.
The system is manufactured from high grade aluminium profile, is corrosive and maintenance free, comes in any standard aluminium colour and can be installed on all window frames, including curtain walls. It is also available with solar control to reduce solar heat gain and reduce the amount of energy needed to cool a building so minimising CO 2 emissions."
